Sort a list into districts
Drop in a spreadsheet of addresses, such as a ballot-cure list, a voter list or a canvass list. Eljae puts every address in its State Assembly, State Senate and congressional district, then shows how close each race is, so you can see where the people on your list could matter most. Race margins cover the State Assembly, the State Senate, the U.S. House and San Diego County’s supervisors; for any other county or city race, your county elections office has the count.

Sign in to sort a list
Eljae needs your email so it can keep your daily row count. Sign-in is a six-digit code, no password.
Sign in1. Choose your file
An Excel file (.xlsx) or a CSV file (from Google Sheets: File, then Download, then CSV). The first row should be the column names, and the first sheet is the one read.
Your file stays in your browser. Eljae reads it here (an Excel file is opened here too). For each row only the street, city and ZIP are sent, in small batches, through Eljae to the U.S. Census Bureau’s public address lookup, which returns the census block the address is in. Names, voter IDs, phone numbers, ballot status and every other column never leave your computer. Eljae does not save your file, your addresses or the results; it keeps only how many rows you sorted today.
2. Which columns hold the address?
If the whole address is in one column (for example “123 Main St, Vista, CA 92084”), pick that column for Street address and leave City and ZIP on “(none)”.

Your list, by district
A district can reach past your county, and a list covers only the ballots you were given, so the margin is the whole district’s unofficial count and not only your list’s share. Results are unofficial until certified. Ask your county elections office for the last day to cure a ballot. Eljae is an AI tool and can make mistakes: check the districts you act on.
